At that point of time i was bit curious having gotten a suggestion from a person who happens to be a librarian. But then after having read it i realized it was quite the opposite of what i was expecting. I found a several parts of the book, including the ending, to be a predictable and lame. Not what the synopsis was suggesting but it does co.. I read this when it first come out. I found a copy recently and decided to re-read. I hope it is as good as I remember... All done and I glad I read it again. It is strange the things I remember and don't remember from reading it the first time, but then again that was over 20 years ago. A great potboiler/beach read... I was given this book and told to give her books a chance. I couldn't stand the way she wrote it. Jumping around with different characters and different years kept confusing me. All I got was a headache. I haven't and won't read anything else by her... More Jackie Collins fluff at its best Surprisingly well written but super tacky and annoying.

DEADLY PASSION. LETHAL SEDUCTION Jackie Collins... Beverly Hills Housewives vs. Hollywood Husbands I've been reading Jackie Collins' Hollywood Husbands for two weeks! Since October 11th to be precise. And, pitifully speaking, I'm only 330 pages into the 543 given. And it's not necessarily a slow read. You'd think being in the Did Not Finish (DNF) groove by now (after jumping the ship on Nora Roberts' Stars of Fortune and Tayari Jones' Leaving Atlanta) that I'd just let Husbands go. I am tempted to stuff it into the wells of my bookshelf; out of sight, out of mind.

I've written five books since the diagnosis, I've lived my life, I've travelled all over the world, I have not turned down book tours and no one has ever known until now when I feel as though I should come out with it. ' The author fought back tears as she said she would 'always be there' for her daughters, Tracy, 54, Tiffany, 48, and Rory, 46. Up until the day before she died, Collins was chatting to fans on Facebook, writing on her Facebook page that she was excited to watch the season premiere of Nashville, which starts on September 23. The day before she died she was still making plans, praising a fan for coming up with the idea of putting all of her novels with her famed character Lucky into one collection. She was busy on Twitter too, posting images from her heyday suggesting she was growing sentimental as she came to terms with her illness.
I just don't get it, it wasn't all that well written, superficial and there really wasn't much of a story. I gave this 2 stars as I didn't walk away feeling good about what I read... I started buying up and reading JC's books when she passed away. There are tons of them in local thrift shops. This was one of them, I really enjoyed it! I like the way she writes about Americans and how they "look" to the British. One book described a woman as having "big American Teeth", it might have been this one. She is so heavy on description, she always puts you right in the scene. While Joan excelled in acting, Jackie excelled in writing... Look, the characters are Teddy Pendergrass, Sade and Rod Stewart. They might go by other names but that is who they are based on. The book is an easy read but is one of Collins' weaker works. None of the characters are all that interesting and in the end, you don't care who survives the hostage situation in the music mogul's house. For a better Jackie Collins novel which involves a musician, get Lovers and Gamblers.

I needed to read a "rock star" romance for this romance reading challenge I'm doing, and I figured what better way of accomplishing that than to revisit the first vintage novel I ever read? Jackie Collins's ROCK STAR. You know you're getting into something good from the ve.. This was a bitter sweet read for because Ms. Collins lost her battle with cancer a day after I bought a couple of her books. This book was well written like all of the books that I have read by Ms. Collins with no errors in grammar or spelling. This book was good and I may or may not have read it years ago I can't remember. Three rock star the story starts with an impending event in 1987 involving 3 of the world's biggest musicians.
